Finished T5 at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. Defeated Toru Taniguchi (6 and 5), Adam Scott (19 holes) and Boo Weekley (3 and 2), before falling to Henrik Stenson, 2 up, in the quarterfinals...Collected his third career top-10 at the Zurich Classic with a T4 effort. Needed to birdie the last to tie eventual winner Andres Romero, but hit his third shot in the water and made double bogey...Recorded his third top-5 finish of the season with a T2 at the Buick Open. Took the lead on Sunday with a birdie at the par-5 16th, but bogeys at the final two holes, including a three-putt at the 72nd, left him one stroke shy of winner Kenny Perry. Played holes 12-16 in 17-under par on the week. Wife Carol's brother, Jim Schuman, played on Nationwide Tour from 1990-93 and is the Badgers' head coach and Kelly's instructor...All-city hockey selection in high school...University of Hartford golf teammates included TOUR members Tim Petrovic and Patrick Sheehan...Visited troops in the Persian Gulf for Thanksgiving 2006 on a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour with TOUR members Corey Pavin, Donnie Hammond, Frank Lickliter II and Howard Twitty.
